She is a recognized expert in women in film and American film comedy and her work has appeared in a number of books and journals, including Classical Hollywood Comedy published by the American Film Institute. She is also co-editor of Past Meets Present: Recovering the History of Women at Rochester Institute of Technology, 1885-1945. Lent holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. |
