Jeffrey Cox is an expert on international student immigration, cultural adjustment issues and why international educational exchange is so important to America.

He can also speak about visa and immigration matters for students, visiting professors and researchers and the effects of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to track foreign students and scholars in the United States.

He has served in several leadership roles, including chair of the New York/New Jersey chapter of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and he sits on the Board of the Rochester International Council.

Cox has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Congo (formerly Zaire, 1990–1991) and received an international education in Paris, London and the United States. He earned his bachelor's degree in English from Colby College and his master's degree in service leadership and innovation from RIT. He also completed master’s level coursework in English Literature while working at Long Island University.
