Holmbeck presents findings on heavy elements
Postdoctoral researcher Erika Holmbeck presented new findings about the origins of the universe’s heaviest elements at the 2021 Fall Meeting of the American Physical Society Division of Nuclear Physics on Oct. 13. Holmbeck and collaborators looked at heavy elements by simulating their production in neutron stars and also observing those elements in other stars.
