Individualized program students contribute to pinyon Jay conservation efforts

Students in the spring 2024 individualized program course Fighting Extinction wrote an addendum to the pinyon jay petition initially submitted by the Defenders of Wildlife. The experience provided practical, real-world work, including researching recent studies, scholarships, and other materials necessary to the addendum. The students learned best practices on research methods by collaborating closely with Ryan Tolnay, global ed, university studies, and SOIS liaison librarian.
