What is RIT doing to prepare for avian flu?
- RIT has formed a pandemic planning team of key service and response departments to prepare a pandemic response plan. The plan will address the specific threat that pandemic poses.
- RIT is working with the Monroe County Public Health Department to coordinate planning and align response. We participate in the Public Health Emergency Management Office (PHEMO) Communicable Disease and Bioterrorism Task Force.
- RIT has existing Emergency Response and Crisis Management mechanisms in place.
