FIRST Robotics kicks off Jan. 4
More than 800 students, faculty and mentors from 34 regional teams are expected at the local kickoff event, where they will receive robot kits and equipment for the game. Teams will then have six weeks to build robots for the Finger Lakes regional competition at RIT in March.

Men, women play first-ever outdoor games
The men’s hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-2 tie against Niagara University on Saturday at snowy Frontier Field in downtown Rochester. The women’s team lost to Clarkson 6-2.
