A biomedical diagnostic tool using microwave imaging technology, under development in the electrical engineering department in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, promises enhanced early diagnosis of tumors and soft-tissue diseases.
RIT will celebrate Charter Day at a special 175th anniversary event on Friday, Feb. 11. The celebration will honor two former RIT presidents and their wives. The event will be held at 3 p.m. in Ingle Auditorium, with a reception following at 4 p.m. in the Student Alumni Union.
Lisa Cauda will serve as RIT’s interim vice president for development and alumni relations, effective Feb. 15. Cauda replaces Laurel Price Jones, who has accepted a position as vice president for advancement at The George Washington University.
In honor of RIT’s 175th anniversary celebration, Tanya Van Court, director of broadband and interactive television at ESPN, was the inaugural speaker for the Women in Leadership series. In addition to her talk, Van Court chatted with RIT communication students and made an appearance at RIT’s Sports Zone.
