RIT makes national news again—this time in the funny pages
Doran Mix

On Oct. 25, Doonesbury featured RIT as the place to go if you’ve got the “science bug” or already hold five patents. Alex Doonesbury, a technology whiz, was depicted as considering RIT’s engineering program as a top college and career choice. RIT President Albert Simone reminded readers, “RIT does have students who hold patents.” Doonesbury’s creator Garry Trudeau said he used RIT “because it’s one of the premier institutes of technology.”
