William Destler, RIT’s incoming president, shares reaction to his new job with the campus community during the formal announcement of his selection on March 5. “This is a proud moment for me,” he says. “It’s a proud moment for my family, and I hope that it’s the beginning of a wonderful new relationship with the entire RIT family.” Destler, who took part in the event via satellite, remained at the University of Maryland for the announcement while hosting members of a Middle States Accreditation team.
