| Lean Six Sigma process is conference focus |
 | The Center for Quality and Applied Statistics, in partnership with the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies’ Center for Excellence in Lean Enterprise, hosted the second annual Lean Six Sigma Conference at The Lodge in Skaneateles Falls, last month. The conference featured experts from industry and academia and included an introduction to the principles of Lean Six Sigma, a manufacturing process that seeks to increase quality and reduce cycle times through improved process design and enhanced teamwork. The event, sponsored by Welch Allyn Inc., featured more than 60 attendees from a number of companies in diverse sectors.
