RIT researchers, like Cormier, and corporate partners expect to play a role in the growth of the printed electronics and advanced manufacturing industry. Estimated to be a multi-billion dollar growth industry in the coming years, some of the work developing new equipment, nano-inks and novel applications for medical devices, sensors and fuels cells, for example, may begin with local initiatives and a new university-industry partnership established at RIT.
