RIT researchers celebrated the worldwide recognition of gravitational wave astrophysics and the Nobel Prize in Physics awarded on Oct. 3 to pioneer scientists Rainer Weiss from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Kip Thorne and Barry Barish from Caltech. Scientists in RIT’s Center for Computational Relativity and Gravitation shared insights with RIT community about the research behind the prize and, their own role in gravitational wave astrophysics.
