Rally Today Touts Return of Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival

Organizers plan sneak preview of what’s in store for May 2 event

The right brain and left brain are ready to collide and, again this year, Rochester Institute of Technology serves as the intersection for this impressive spectacle.

RIT President Bill Destler presides at a rally designed to build excitement in preparation for the return of Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival. The campuswide celebration at 10 a.m. April 14 takes place in RIT’s B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences atrium and auditorium.

Rochester General Health System is this year’s Imagine RIT festival partner. Mark Clement, president and CEO of RGHS, joins President Destler to sample some of the interactive exhibits being included at the festival. Also, the official Imagine RIT poster and this year’s TV commercial are ready to be revealed.

Finally, Barry Culhane, festival committee chair, presents “A Day at Imagine RIT,” a summary of what visitors can expect as they plan their visit to campus on May 2, including important details on parking. More than 17,000 visitors attended last year’s inaugural festival.
