ROAR the Vote team earns democracy award

The ROAR the Vote team, led by Grace Carlic, assistant director for the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement, has received the Making Democracy Work award from the League of Women Voters-Rochester Metro Area. ROAR the Vote, an initiative sponsored by CLCE and the Office of Government and Community Relations, supports students’ involvement in electoral politics by helping to ensure that students understand the voting process and the importance of voting in local, state, and national elections. The award will be presented during the League of Women Voter’s annual meeting at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word in Rochester on June 6.
