New Product Development Forum ‘Grows’ at RIT’s Saunders College of Business, Nov. 9

Fritz Yambrach, professor of packaging science at Rochester Institute of Technology, and Leslie Fritzemeier, president of Wakonda Technologies Inc. will be speaking at the RIT New Product Development Forum this Thursday, Nov. 9. The event is sponsored by RIT’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business.

Yambrach and Fritzemeier will be joining panelists Ron Smith, senior experience designer, IBM Corporate Brand and Values Experience, and Dan Touhey, vice president of marketing, Spalding, Inc. The program on “Open Innovation: Case Studies and Evidence from Applied Research” will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the auditorium, B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. The event includes a continental breakfast from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Parking will be available in Lot J.

John Ettlie, director of the Technology Management Center at the Saunders College of Business, will serve as moderator of the forum, and also will speak on the impact of the Worldwide Web on research and development.

The RIT New Product Development Forum, a partnership between RIT faculty and local businesses, is designed to address applied-research issues related to the successful introduction of new products and services.
