It was an impressive report card for Adobe Systems. Fortune magazine ranked Adobe as number two in most admired computer software companies for 2006.

Rochester Institute of Technology has invited Adobe’s co-founder and chairman of the board, Charles Geschke, to speak on “Creating a Successful Software Company.” The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, at RIT’s Webb Auditorium, James E. Booth Building.

Geschke has been a respected and inspiring leader in the software industry for more than 25 years. He co-founded Adobe Systems in 1982 with John Warnock, and retired from his position as president in 2000. During that same year, he was ranked the seventh most influential graphics person of the last millennium by Graphic Exchange magazine.

RIT’s Speaker Series highlights entrepreneurial innovation and is hosted by RIT’s College of Business Graduate Management Association and RIT’s School of Print Media.

Geschke’s presentation is free and open to the public.
