Pegram Resident Recognized as a Distinguished RIT Alumnus

Pegram resident Richard Close Jr. was recently honored by his alma mater, Rochester Institute of Technology, as a distinguished alumnus during RITís annual Alumni Award Celebration.
Close graduated in 1991 with a B.A. in economics from RITís College of Liberal Arts. Close is managing director, equity research, at Jefferies & Company Inc., a global investment bank and international securities firm.
Eight graduates of RIT and a member of RITís Board of Trustees were honored at the awards ceremony.
Internationally recognized as a leader in computing, imaging, technology, fine and applied arts, and education of the deaf, Rochester Institute of Technology enrolls 15,300 students in more than 340 undergraduate and graduate programs. Its cooperative education program is one of the oldest and largest in the nation.
For the past decade, U.S. News and World Report has ranked RIT as one of the nationís leading comprehensive universities. RIT is also included in The Fiske Guide to Colleges, as well as Barronís Best Buys in Education.
