Deanís Lecture Series Focuses on Computing at Bausch and Lomb, Feb. 10

A panel of executives from Bausch & Lomb will be featured in the next installment of the Deanís Lecture Series, sponsored by Rochester Institute of Technologyís B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.
Evon Jones, B&L corporate vice president and chief information officer; Efrain Rivera, B&L corporate vice president and corporate treasurer; and Praveen Tyle, B&L senior vice president of global R&D and chief scientific officer will present Computing at Bausch & Lomb: R&D, Products, Support and the Bottom Line at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, in the Golisano College auditorium on the RIT campus. The free, public event will be followed by a reception.
Jones came to Bausch & Lomb in 2005 from the Dial Corporation where he was senior vice president and chief information officer.
Rivera began his career as senior trial attorney for the commercial litigation branch of the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He joined B&L in 1989 and has held various management posts. Rivera was appointed a corporate vice president in 2002 and was named treasurer in 2004.
Tyle, who previously worked at Biovail, started at Bausch & Lomb in 2004. He is responsible for B&Lís research, preclinical development, new product development, clinical medical and regulatory affairs, and product quality.
