RIT Plans Remembrance Service Honoring Hurricane Katrina Victims, Sept. 12

MEDIA ADVISORY:

Rochester Institute of Technology is offering the campus community an opportunity to both reflect and take action in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

 

A special service of remembrance, A Call to Community, is planned for 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, in Allen Chapel, RIT Interfaith Center. The service will honor the memory of hurricane victims while providing affirmation to those seeking to aide and rebuild the affected communities.

Following the service, information will be provided on a variety of fundraising activities targeting faculty, staff and students. Starting Sept. 13, donation cans for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund will be available at RIT Food Service locations on campus.
