“Tiger Walk” Provides Rowdy Kickoff to RIT School Year, Aug. 29

GREAT PHOTO OPPORTUNITY:

First-year students at Rochester Institute of Technology aren’t likely to ever forget their first full day on campus as they and their family members navigate the RIT Tiger Walk.

Faculty and staff, dressed in RIT garb and armed with posters and noisemakers, will line the walkway leading to the Gordon Field House and Activities Center on Monday, Aug. 29. The group will offer newcomers a cheering welcome as families arrive for New Student Convocation.Tiger Walk takes place from 9 to 9:45 a.m. outside the east entrance to the Field House.

An award will be given to members of the most spirited RIT college or department. Tiger Walk is sponsored by RIT’s Division of Academic Affairs, and the offices of Alumni Relations, Orientation, and Residential Life.
