RIT Accounting Professor Receives Best Paper Award

Thomas Tribunella, assistant professor of accounting in the College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology, won the Best Paper Award for a manuscript he co-authored with his wife, Heidi, a senior lecturer at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.

The award was given to Tribunella by the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Educators Association at the 2005 conference for a paper titled, “An Economic Method for Ranking AIS Journals.” This is the second consecutive time Tribunella has won the award.

Tribunella is a New York state licensed Certified Public Accountant and has taught college-level professional accounting for more than 17 years. He served as an expert for the Bloomberg News on the Enron story.
