RIT Hosts CEO of the Direct Selling Women's Alliance

Think sales—and what immediately comes to mind are long hours, heavy competition, cold calls, customer relations, rejection and perseverance.

The truth is, everybody sells something—whether they are directly involved in sales, a company manager or a volunteer in the community.

Nicki Keohohou, chief executive officer of the Direct Selling Women's Alliance, plans two presentations for selling professionals on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Rochester Institute of Technology. “Having a Passion for your Direct Selling Profession” is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by "Balancing it All" from 7 to 9 p.m. Both discussions take place in RIT's Student Alumni Union cafeteria.

Keohohou, who lives in Hawaii, is a best selling author and was recently named one of the top 30 female entrepreneurs in America.

The event, open to the public, is sponsored by the RIT Student Affairs Division and Tealightful Treasures. Preregistration is $15 or $19 the day of the event; $12 for RIT students. To preregister, call Tealightful Treasures at 436-9019 or visit the Direct Selling Women's Alliance Website at www.mydswa.org.
