RIT Model Railroad Club Fall Train Show is on Track for Oct. 24

Rochester Institute of Technology's Model Railroad Club (RITMRC) will host its fifth annual Fall Train Show on Sunday, Oct. 24. Vendors, operating layouts, hands-on layouts for children and railroad literature will on display.

The club's operating digital HO scale layout of Rochester & Irondequoit Terminal Railroad, featuring Digital Command Control and scenes from surrounding areas, will also be running for public enjoyment. Club members will be on hand to run trains and to answer questions about railroading.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Student Alumni Union. Ticket prices are $3 for general admission and $2 for senior citizens, with no charge for students and children under 12.

RIT students founded the model railroad club in 1996 to promote the hobby of model railroading and to preserve Rochester's rich railroad heritage. The club, located downstairs in the Student Alumni Union, Room A-420, meets Tuesday nights at 7 p.m.
