RIT Inn & Conference Center Slates “Hawaiian” Open House

If this year's lack of summer-like weather makes you yearn for a more tropical climate, enjoy a respite at the RIT Inn & Conference Center's “Hawaiian” Open House, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday, July 29.

The event, open to the public, will showcase amenities available to groups and individuals, including conference, meeting and party space suitable for up to 375 people per event, along with recently renovated overnight guest accommodations. The RIT Inn & Conference Center also offers indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, whirlpool, fitness center, restaurant and coffee shop.

The open house will feature Hawaiian dancing and dance lessons, a variety of “tropical door prizes” and other giveaways, refreshments and the band “Pan Loco.”

The RIT Inn & Conference Center, located at 5257 West Henrietta Road in Henrietta, provides RIT students majoring in hospitality and service management with professional, hands-on work experience through co-op positions and on-site class sessions. In addition, numerous RIT alumni are employed at the facility and some current students reside there. Formerly a Marriott hotel, the RIT Inn & Conference Center was a gift to RIT from E.J. Del Monte Corp. in 2001.
