Costumed Ensemble Performs Star Wars and Lord of the Rings

Movie-Theme Music at RIT, Feb. 23

Is that Chewbacca the Wookiee on trombone? Luke Skywalker on cymbals? Gandalph on lead violin? The dramatic sounds of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings will fill Rochester Institute of Technology’s Student Alumni Union Sunday, Feb. 23, when the RIT Concert Band takes the stage at 3 p.m. in Ingle Auditorium. Maestro Jonathan Kruger and several members of the ensemble and the audience will be in costume.

The concert—free and open to the public—will be followed by a performance by the RIT Jazz Ensemble in the Fireside Lounge. Costumes are encouraged, but not required at the event.
