SPEAKER CHANGE Business Leaders Evaluate Latest Advances in New-Product Development Process

Open session of the RIT New-Product Development Forum set for April 9



Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Business and its partners from the area business community will take a critical look at new strategies intended to help companies better meet the needs of their customers. A discussion on "State-of-the-Art New-Product Development" will take place during the latest open session of the RIT New-Product Development Forum.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, April 9, in Xerox Auditorium, James E. Gleason Building, on RIT’s Henrietta campus. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 7:15 a.m.

Speakers include CRAIG SIDDOWAY, manager of design for consumer products at Motorola ("Design, Speed Expression"); Abbie Griffin, professor of business administration at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Commerce ("Moving New Product Development Research Beyond Success"); and Ron Lasser, principal of Product Development Consulting Inc. ("A Landmark Study of Collaborative Design in Industry Today").

The RIT New-Product Development Forum, a partnership between RIT faculty and local businesses, is designed to address applied-research issues related to the successful introduction of new products and services. Bausch & Lomb, Carpenter Technologies, Exxon-Mobil Chemical, Gleason Works, IMI Norgren Inc., ITT Industries-Goulds Pumps and Navistar-International Truck and Engine are participating in this initiative.
