A new era in manufacturing, operations and supply chain management is being highlighted during a special event at Rochester Institute of Technology.
The presentation, Next Generation Manufacturing Systems, will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies (CIMS), room 2430, on RIT's Henrietta campus. Charles M. Anderson, a program director for the Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing International (CAM-I), will discuss current research into autonomous and distributed manufacturing systems, biological manufacturing systems and scalable flexible manufacturing systems.
This free event is sponsored by RIT's Manufacturing Management and Leadership (MM&L) master's program. Students in the MM&L program, all experienced manufacturing professionals, are engaged in the study of tools and techniques required to lead and manage world-class manufacturing organizations. Information on the MM&L program will also be available at the presentation.
