RIT Helps Clear the Air with Alternative Fuels Workshop

Industry and community leaders meet to discuss a cleaner future

Rochester Institute of Technology and the Genesee Region Clean Communities, a local non-profit organization, will co-sponsor “Cleaning the Air with Alternative Fuels: A Practical Workshop on Getting Started.”

The all-day conference also features presentations and exhibits from industry leaders Honda, Caterpillar, NOCO Energy and the National Biodiesel Board on topics such as equipment, usage and the availability of alternative fuels, like biodiesel and ethanol.

Rochester Mayor Robert Duffy and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks will be in attendance, as a major focus of the workshop will be regional air quality.

WHAT: Cleaning the Air with Alternative Fuels: A Practical Workshop on Getting Started.

WHERE: All events will take place at the RIT Inn & Conference Center, located at 5257 West Henrietta Rd.

WHEN: Thursday, June 14, from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
