RIT Receives $50,000 Grant to Extend Osher Reentry Scholarship

Scholarship to aid students looking to return to college later in life

The Bernard Osher Foundation has renewed its grant with Rochester Institute of Technology’s Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, awarding $50,000 to extend the Osher Reentry Scholarship for the 2007-2008 academic year.

The Osher Foundation defines reentry students as individuals between the ages of 25 and 50, whose collegiate studies at a four-year campus were interrupted by circumstances beyond their control at least five years ago and who now want to resume their studies.

Ten scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded for the upcoming academic year to RIT students who are matriculated in a Center for Multidisciplinary Studies program. Incoming students are also encouraged to apply.
