Prominent Turnaround Specialist Comes to RIT

Raymond Malpocher will discuss how to run a successful business in today’s equity market

Raymond Malpocher, prominent business turnaround specialist and former chief executive officer of Telex Communications, will kickoff the Kate Gleason College of Engineering 2007-2008 Dean’s Alumni Speaker Series at Rochester Institute of Technology Oct. 18.

Malpocher, a graduate of RIT’s mechanical engineering department, will discuss his experiences in American business and provide insights on how to run a successful company. As head of Telex, Malpocher helped revive the $325 million professional sound-system manufacturer whose clients include the National Football League and the Rolling Stones.

The Dean’s Alumni Speaker Series presents engineering alumni discussing their careers and providing advice to current students. All of the lectures begin at 1 p.m. and are held in the Xerox Auditorium in the James E. Gleason Building.
