SPAS Gallery Spotlights Exhibit of Installed Digital Images Printed on Silk

Artist is an RIT graduate student of photography, exhibition on view Jan. 14-25

A thesis exhibition featuring installed digital images printed on silk will be on display at the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences Gallery at Rochester Institute of Technology, Jan. 14-25.

The images were created by artist Christine Heusner, a master of fine arts student in RIT’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences. The title of the exhibit, “Chiasm,” refers to the convergence and divergence between the mind and the environment as perceptions are formed. The images are printed on silk and hung off the gallery walls forming a new space within the gallery.

“Chiasm” runs from Monday, Jan. 14, through Friday, Jan. 25, in the SPAS Gallery, located on the third floor of the Frank E. Gannett Building on the RIT campus. There will be a reception on Friday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the gallery.

Admission to the SPAS Gallery is free and open to the public. For more information, call (585) 475-2884.
