RIT Announces New Scholarship for Transfer Students

Program targets students looking to pursue careers in engineering and engineering technology

Rochester Institute of Technology is awarding scholarships to transfer students who plan to enroll in engineering and technology programs. The Engineering and Technology Transfer Scholars Program is funded by a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, which was awarded with the goal of substantially increasing the number of high-quality professionals in the STEM disciplines—science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Scholarship recipients will receive $2,000 during the first two quarters that they are enrolled in a full load of academic courses at RIT. The scholarship will be reduced to $1,000 per quarter for the remaining four quarters of their undergraduate requirements.

All eligible transfer students who apply to the following departments will be considered for the scholarship: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing and mechanical engineering technology and packaging science, electrical, computer and telecommunications engineering technology and civil engineering technology.
