Thanksgiving Drive to support 10 Rochester families

Rochester Institute of Technology Leadership Institute and Community Service Center is working with the Rochester division of Habitat for Humanity to sponsor 10 families in need of Thanksgiving dinners. Most of the families are surviving on incomes 60 percent or more below the median income for the Rochester area.

Donations are welcomed. Food items can be dropped off at the RIT Leadership Institute and Community Service Center located on the second floor of the RITreat in the Student Alumni Union. Items are needed by Nov. 15. Baskets will be delivered on Nov. 16.

Suggested items include white potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cake mix, cranberry sauce, corn bread mix, diner rolls, beverages, non-perishable food items (cereal, canned meals, etc.). Cash donations or gift card are accepted for turkey and for non-perishable items.
