Annual holiday concert is Saturday, Dec. 13

“Music for the Holidays” features holiday classic

Rochester Institute of Technology will present a program of seasonal classics for the entire family at its annual holiday concert, to be held Saturday, Dec. 13. “Music for the Holidays” will feature multiple ensembles from the RIT music program and the RIT Gospel Ensemble, performing such favorites as Joy to the World, Emmanuel and 12 Days of Christmas.

“This concert gives our students an opportunity to showcase their talents, while also helping to make the holiday season a little brighter for RIT and the Rochester community,” notes Carl Atkins, professor and director of the RIT music program.

The event is produced by the Center for Campus Life and the College of Liberal Arts and begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Ingle Auditorium. A $2 suggested donation benefits the Alfred L. Davis Endowed Music Fund and the Woodward Pool renovations.
