Student leaders from the Greek communities of six area colleges and universities will converge at Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday, Feb. 7 for the fifth annual Greater Rochester Fraternal Leadership Summit. More than 300 students are expected to attend.
The event brings together Greek students from RIT, University of Rochester, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, Alfred State and Hobart College to provide leadership development, personal growth skills, and risk awareness and management training. Three different sessions are offered throughout the day and each is facilitated by national, regional or local experts.
The day kicks off at 10 a.m. in the Louise M. Slaughter Building with a keynote address by Dan Bureau, who works at the National Survey of Student Engagement and is former president of the Association of Fraternity Advisors, entitled “The Future of Fraternities and Sororities: Making our Organizations Relevant to our Members, the Campus and Society.”
