Students host silent auction fundraiser for School of Hospitality and Service Management March 13

Auction items include Belhurst Castle Getaway and local restaurant certificates

The School of Hospitality and Service Management is holding a silent auction at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 13. The event is being held at the Lovin’ Cup bistro, located in Park Point.

The auction is one of several fundraising events leading up to the annual Puttin’ on the RITz Dinner, on March 28 at Oak Hill Country Club. All proceeds go to the School of Hospitality and Service Management, says Elizabeth Lincoln, a student in the hospitality program and part of the event planning team.

“This is the first year I have had the opportunity to be involved with planning the RITz dinner,” Lincoln says. “Some of my responsibilities are to create fund raising events to help support the RIT Hospitality Education Fund. We have great items up for auction such as gift certificates from local restaurants like Bamba Bistro, The Cheesecake Factory, Black & Blue, and our big ticket item this year is a Belhurst Castle Romantic getaway.”
