RIT ‘Lives United’ With Dorm Storm Fundraiser

Steve Kampschmidt as RITchie “Lives United” with RIT students in the Dorm Storm fundraiser to benefit the RIT United Way Campaign.

The RIT United Way student committee held the Dorm Storm for Change Drive on March 23, and raised an amazing $1,600—the largest amount of money ever raised by students for the RIT United Way Campaign in a single event.

Student and staff volunteers collected spare change from students in all the residence halls not only to raise money for the RIT United Way Campaign but also to raise awareness among students about the organization that supports more than 600 local charities in the Greater Rochester area.

Special thanks to members of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, OCASA and the Honors Program; Steve Kampschmidt as RITchie; John Meyer and the HUB staff; Peter Briggs at Barnes & Noble @ RIT; and most importantly the residence hall students for their generous contributions.
