Information sessions highlight academic and research opportunities for students

Rochester Institute of Technology’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability will host multiple information sessions showcasing its doctoral program in sustainability and provide prospective students with a synopsis of academic and research opportunities available.

The first session will be conducted at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 and the second at 3 p.m. Jan. 7. Both will be held in room 2150 in the Louise M. Slaughter Building on the RIT campus.

The events will include a program introduction, question-and-answer session and a tour of Golisano Institute research labs. Program faculty will also be in attendance to provide additional information on current research efforts and areas for future development. The Golisano Institute for Sustainability was founded in 2007 following a $10 million donation from Thomas Golisano, founder of Paychex Inc. and an RIT trustee. The institute focuses on research and education in sustainable design, pollution prevention, green manufacturing and environmental policy and management. Its doctoral program is one of the first in the world to focus on sustainability.
