Test of RIT Alert system today

RIT will conduct a test of RIT Alert, the emergency mass-communication system, at 4 p.m. today. The test will end around 5 p.m.

The test message will read: “Test. This is a test of RIT Alert. No action is needed. This is only a test.”

You will know the message is from RIT Alert by the sender:

  • For a text message: 89361
  • For a phone call: 585-475-3200
  • For an e-mail: RITAlert@rit.edu
  • For an IM: (update your privacy settings in your IM tool to receive messages from these senders)

You can add or update personal emergency contact information at RIT Alert–Emergency Mass Notification System.
