Stefan Preble, assistant professor of microsystems engineering in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering, was awarded two of the U.S. Defense Department’s most prestigious awards—the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Young Faculty Award and the Air Force Young Investigators Research Program Award. He is only one of a handful of individuals who have won both awards in the same year.
The awards are given to up-and-coming scientists, engineers and new tenure-track faculty who have focused research on next-generation technologies in aerospace, material science and nanotechnologies.
