RIT’s first NCAA championship win in 1982-1983
RIT’s first NCAA championship win in 1982-1983 in Division II marked a key moment in the ice hockey program. (The Tigers repeated as NCAA champions in 1984-1985, this time at the Division III level.) RIT is celebrating the 50th year of intercollegiate hockey during the 2011-2012 season. To highlight this anniversary, RIT Archives will be creating an exhibit and hosting a special event in the RIT Museum at The Wallace Center during Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend. Using historical photographs and memorabilia taken from the collection, as well as items borrowed from former team members or anyone who has saved hockey-related materials, the exhibit will look at the growth of this sport at RIT. RIT and UR partner to create accelerated graduate degree pathways for education and counseling students
RIT’s College of Liberal Arts and University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education have established new 3+2 and 4+1 admissions agreements, providing RIT undergraduate students with expedited pathways to launch their careers in teaching, higher education, or counseling. These agreements streamline the process for eligible students to earn both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees within a five-year timeframe.
