Some ill-fated fashionistas featured in a series of crime scenes struck gold at the National American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards.

Andrea Hickey ’11 (graphic design), the creator behind the fashion ad layouts, was one of 25 students to win a student gold ADDY award. Her entry, “Crime Scene Fashion,” shows models as crime victims wearing a new clothing line.

Hickey, a native of Keene, N.Y., recruited Bryan Edwards ’11 (advertising photography) from Tucson, Ariz., to shoot the photographs for the fashion spreads, which Hickey assembled into a lookbook.

Hickey advanced to the nationals, held in San Diego, following two previous rounds—first winning a student silver ADDY at the Rochester Advertising Federation Awards and a $500 scholarship. Hickey then resubmitted her entry at the district level in New York City, where she won a gold.
