E. Philip Saunders College of Business Dean dt ogilvie has graduated from the Higher Education Resource Services Bryn Mawr Summer Institute. The event took place June 17–July 1 at Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

Since 1976, the annual HERS Bryn Mawr Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education Administration has provided female faculty and administrators with an intensive program that prepares them to be leaders in higher education.

Sixty-seven participants represented 63 institutions from across the U.S. this year. Responding to the current environment for higher education globally, the institute offered a special focus on “Women Leaders: Facing the Challenges as We Re-Invent Higher Education.” Sessions explored understanding the environment for higher education, planning and leading change in the academy, managing and investing strategic resources and mapping leadership development.

Over the past five years, three RIT faculty members and administrators have been sponsored to participate in HERS Institutes at Bryn Mawr College, Wellesley College or the University of Denver.
