RIT welcomes alumnus Dwight Gould, CEO of Aviatech LLC

Dwight Gould

Dwight Gould, CEO of Aviatech LLC, founded his company when he realized the “interactive world was a new space.” The Rochester Institute of Technology alumnus (’72, business administration) will discuss “From Billboards to Blogs: A Journey of Marketing Innovation” at the 2013 J. Warren McClure Lecture in Marketing hosted by RIT’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business on May 2.

The event begins at 4 p.m. in the university’s Campus Center, Bamboo Room (2610). Following the lecture and Q&A, a reception will be held in the Fireside Lounge.

Joining Gould in the lecture are two members of the Aviatech team: Todd Juneau, president and COO, and Jason Knill, vice president of business development.

Founded in 2001, Aviatech is a San Diego-based advertising agency specializing in digital and integrated marketing communications. The company is well known in the franchise, hospitality and home service industries, and offers creative Web design and development services, strategic media planning and placement, lead generation, search engine optimization, social influence and mobile marketing and in-depth campaign metrics and analysis.

J. Warren McClure was a World War II Navy veteran and former publisher and owner of the Burlington Free Press. He sold the newspaper to Gannett Co., where he later became the first president of marketing. McClure, who turned to philanthropy in retirement, and his wife, Lois, were important members of the RIT community. McClure served on the RIT board of trustees from 1973 until 1986, was an advisor to the Saunders College of Business, and established the McClure Professorship in Marketing which includes lectures by marketing experts in the field.

The J. Warren McClure lecture is open to the public and guests can visit the RIT Welcome Center for parking instructions. For more information, contact Dana Pierce at 585-475-2199 or dpierce@saunders.rit.edu.
