Daylong event will be held on the RIT campus, June 20

Rob Sands, president and CEO, Constellation Brands Inc., will deliver a keynote address on smart, strategic bets in international markets at the IBC Upstate NY Trade Conference & Expo on June 20 at RIT.

Business leaders interested in expanding their sales efforts beyond U.S. borders should consider attending the IBC Upstate NY Trade Conference & Expo on Thursday, June 20, at Rochester Institute of Technology, Louise M. Slaughter Hall, 1 Lomb Memorial Drive.

The daylong event is co-sponsored by RIT’s Saunders College of Business and begins with registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by opening remarks at 8:30 a.m. with Mark Peterson, president and CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise, and Leah George, managing director, International Business Council.

The IBC Upstate NY Trade Conference & Expo attracts more than 250 people from the Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse regions directly involved in their company’s international business strategies. The seminars focus on a variety of topics: importing and emerging markets, building effective distribution channels, managing expatriate assignments and complying with recent changes in import/export laws. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend 14 breakout sessions focused in three tracks—Early Exporters, Experienced Exporters and Current Trade Issues.

John Ward, marketing and international business lecturer in Saunders College, says being a host and sponsor of the event is very consistent with the Saunders College mission and commitment to GRE and IBC.

“The IBC provides a great opportunity for us to partner with companies that are working to expand their global presence. The New York International trade conference brings together companies, government and industry experts in the field of global business.”

The opening panel discussion on “Increasing Revenues Through Globalization” provides insights from speakers Michael Nuccitelli, president and CEO, Parlec, and owner, Century Mold; Dick Rosenbloom, CEO Ambrell, An Ameritherm Company; Michael Zimmer, president, U.S. Global Document Outsourcing, Xerox Corp.

The event’s lunch keynote speaker is Stephen Leach, managing director at Citibank, Foreign Exchange Economist, and the closing keynote speaker is Rob Sands, president and CEO, Constellation Brands Inc.

Registration for the IBC Upstate NY Trade Conference & Expo is $199 for an individual ticket.
