Raleigh-Durham

Atlanta

Alumni gathered for a community service event and served dinner at the Covenant House of Georgia on April 20. Thanks to hosts George Mills ’00 and Monique Mills ’01.

Austin/San Antonio

Austin and San Antonio alumni were invited to join the Dallas alumni chapter for the fourth annual Lake Lewisville sailing event on June 1. More than 90 alumni from all over Texas participated.

Baltimore

On April 26, alumni attended a dinner at Riptide by the Bay.

On June 20, alumni in Baltimore gathered at Shuckers Restaurant and Bar for an evening happy hour.

Bay Area

On April 24, 30 alumni gathered at The Loft Bar & Bistro in San Jose for an evening happy hour. The group had an opportunity to listen to RIT President Bill Destler give an update on RIT’s activities, achievements and plans for the future.

Buffalo

On May 1, 40 alumni gathered at the Hotel Lafayette for an evening reception with RIT President Bill Destler. They were updated on RIT’s activities, achievements and plans for the future.

Chicago

On June 22, alumni made their way to Wrigley Field as the Cubs battled the Houston Astros in an interleague matchup. Chapter leader Lindsey Brady ’07 met alumni at Vines on Clark before the game to mingle.

Cincinnati

On April 21, alumni gathered to cheer on the Reds facing the Miami Marlins.

Dallas

The fourth annual Lake Lewisville sailing event took place on June 1. More than 90 alumni from all over Texas traveled to Lewisville to enjoy an afternoon in the sun, swimming, relaxing and enjoying some of Rochester’s finest Zweigle’s hot dogs and hamburgers. Thanks to chapter leaders Jennifer Neary ’99 and Scott Saldinger ’89, ’91 for hosting the event.

Houston

Alumni from the Houston area were invited to join the Dallas alumni chapter for the fourth annual Lake Lewisville sailing event on June 1. More than 90 alumni from all over Texas participated.

Los Angeles

On April 25, 30 alumni gathered at The Churchill for an evening happy hour. The group had an opportunity to listen to RIT President Bill Destler give an update on RIT’s activities.

New York

The chapter gathered on Memorial Day at Citi Field for a Subway Series baseball game. Thanks to alumni host Ken Holley ’02.

On June 26, the chapter had an evening of networking with RIT President Bill Destler. Thanks to alumni host Marvin Jean-Jacques 07, who helped organize and served as the DJ for the event.

On July 26, alumni cheered on the Yankees against the Tampa Bay Rays. Thanks to alumni host Mike Larson ’93.

Philadelphia

On April 13, 27 alumni and guests embarked on a tour of the historical Reading Terminal Market.

On July 13, 50 alumni took in the annual RIT alumni evening with the Phillies. The Phillies hosted the Chicago White Sox in an interleague battle. Thanks to alumni host Aviva Dubrow ’91.

Phoenix

On April 13, alumni gathered at the Desert Botanical Gardens for a guided tour and visit to the butterfly pavilion. Thanks to alumni host Chris Wasserman ’94.

On April 14, the alumni group cheered on the Arizona Diamondbacks against the Los Angeles Dodgers from the All-You-Can-Eat section of Chase Field.

Raleigh-Durham

On April 13, alumni went on a once-in-a-lifetime tour at the Carolina Tiger Rescue. They met some of the world’s most endangered species such as tigers, caracals, ocelots and kinkajous. Thanks to alumni hosts Sue Pail ’98 and Mike Pail ’98.

On June 29, alumni gathered for a minor league baseball game as the Durham Bulls hosted the Columbus Clippers.

Rochester

On April 4, a sold-out group of alumni enjoyed Wicked as well as a pre-performance reception at Gallery r. Thanks to alumni hosts Joe Boyd ’04 and Sharyn Duffy ’87.

More than 600 alumni and guests visited the Alumni Oasis as part of Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival on May 4. Special thanks to volunteers Karen Barrows ’04; Diane Jackling ’86; Soyeon Kim ’11; Brent Palmer ’98; Bary Siegel ’66, ’68, ’75, ’90; Michael Pollock ’77; Lydia Michelle-Hammond ’92; Jeanne Mallia ’95; Stacy Kurtz ’05; Bill Moranz ’02; Dat Le ’14; Kyle Edenzon ’09; Gary Mendola ’85; Eve Razis ’81; Daniyal Syed ’12; and Kelly Alvarez ’82.

Thanks to those who stopped by the alumni hospitality table at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge at RIT on May 21 and the LPGA Golf Tournament at Locust Hill June 6-9.

The Office of Alumni Relations hosted a campus art walk on June 30. Thanks to Becky Simmons from the RIT Archives team and alumni host Susan Shanks ’97.

Alumni from Rochester and Buffalo enjoyed a ride on the Niagara River Jet Boat on July 20. Thanks to alumni hosts Tony Kocienski ’78, Frank Lucas ’75 and Stacy Kurtz ’05.

Alumni enjoyed an evening of baseball with the Rochester Red Wings on July 28 in the Hardball Café Suite. Thanks to alumni hosts Donna Bell ’83, Draga Haboian ’84 and Bary Siegel ’66, ’68, ’75, ’90.

San Diego

On June 22, alumni enjoyed an afternoon Padres game as the team battled its divisional rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Alumni took in the game from the Budweiser Porch in right field. Thanks to Jeffrey Creagh ’11 for hosting the event.

San Francisco

Alumni in San Francisco enjoyed happy hour at Cascal’s on Feb. 27. Thanks to host Elizabeth Del Valle ’10.

Syracuse

Alumni met in Skaneateles on July 20 for a luncheon boat cruise on the lake.

Tucson

On April 12, alumni met for dinner for the first time in several years. Thanks to Stan McKenzie, provost emeritus, who brought the group together.

Utica/ Rome

Alumni gathered on June 20 for a Saranac Thursdays event. Thanks to Liz Mikoda ’82, who helped organize this event.

Washington, D.C.

On June 22, alumni gathered at Nationals Park to watch their hometown Nationals battle the Colorado Rockies.

On April 25, alumni attended a Friday happy hour at Jin Lounge. Thanks to alumni host Justin Mann ’12.
