Rebecca Hooper, a junior at Rush-Henrietta High School, proudly displays her costume on March 8 at Tora-Con, an annual anime convention run by students from RIT’s Anime Club and other campus organizations. Tora-Con is a gathering of fans focused on anime, manga, Japanese culture, sci-fi and fantasy, and features speakers, workshops, performances, concerts, contests and more. Hooper’s costume, a Kyoshi warrior from Avatar: The Last Airbender, took her two months to make.
