RIT to test emergency notification system Sunday
RIT will conduct a test of RIT Alert, the emergency notification system, at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21. The test message will read: "Test. This is a test of R.I.T. Alert, the Emergency Notification System. NO ACTION IS NEEDED. This is only a test.”
The test will include the following communication methods:
- Text message and voice call to cell phones
- Message on RIT's Facebook page
- Twitter from RIT University News @RITNEWS
- Post on the RIT Ready website and the RIT Emergency Information website.
- Alertus beacon activation on campus

RIT Global students set to present at Imagine RIT
Students from RIT’s global campuses will be making the trek to the U.S. for this year’s Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival.
