This year’s Fall Career Fair is set for Oct. 1.

Rochester Institute of Technology’s largest career fair on record is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center.

More than 250 employers from various businesses, agencies and industries will be on hand to meet with RIT students and alumni at the 2014 Fall Career Fair. Approximately half of those employers have registered to stay on campus the following day to conduct interviews.

“This is clearly a record career fair,” said Manny Contomanolis, senior associate vice president and director of the Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education. “It reflects the strong interest in talent that RIT produces.”

A diverse range of employers are scheduled for the event, including computing technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook, engineering companies such as Tesla Motors and Toyota and even government agencies such as the CIA and the NSA. More than 765 recruiters will be looking to fill co-op and full-time positions.

Every region of the United States will be represented at the fair, with around half of the employers attending the fair based outside of New York state.

About 3,800 students and alumni are expected to participate in the event. A valid RIT ID is required for entry.
