Thinkers ages 50 and beyond are welcome to join member-led organization

People never outgrow the sheer joy of learning something new—and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rochester Institute of Technology is offering a sneak peek of winter term classes for thinkers ages 50 and beyond. The preview sessions will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Athenaeum Building, 50 Fairwood Drive, Henrietta.

“Curiosity never retires and the vibrancy of the 50-plus learner will amaze you,” said Nita Genova, Osher Council Chair. “Find out what fascinates you; we have classes that will appeal to people from all walks of life—and it’s a wonderful way to make new friends.”

Osher classes run the gamut from Choral Masterworks to Investment Concepts and Ideas, Shakespeare, You Be the Critic Film Discussion Group and Understanding the Human Brain.

Other perks in Osher membership include travel, tours, field trips, an RIT Student Identification card to use at campus events, and access to audiology services at RIT’s libraries.

Seating for the preview sessions are limited. Call 585-292-8989 to reserve a spot or email osher@rit.edu.
